Thompson Team Turns Luck Around at Sonoma

After three races where luck dealt a difficult hand, Brett Thompson and the entire team were thrilled to finish the race at Sonoma (CA) Raceway this past weekend. While the 17th place finish was not what the team wanted, the finish kept them in the top ten of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series standings with nine races left on the 2013 schedule.

The team weathered a tumultuous Midwest swing where they lost two motors and suffered a tire failure dousing the championship run.

“It was a really tough couple of weeks,” stated Will Harris, crew chief. “We now have a month before our next race so we have some time to regroup back in the shop.”

The next NKNPS race for the team is¬†Saturday, July 27¬†at the 3/8-mile paved oval of Colorado National Speedway located North of Denver. The team will also entertain employees and guest at CNS with a special BBQ and offer ride-along’s in the team’s two-seat stock car.
