Havens Impressive in Inaugural Run for Thompson

Approximately 700 miles south of Twin Falls, Braeden Havens was making his debut with Thompson Motorsports and while victory eluded the 18-year old Spokane, WA native, he was impressive in his first start for the team. Havens qualified 15th for the 150-lap NAPA Auto Parts/Toyota 150 at Havasu 95 Speedway for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series.
Havens used patience throughout the race to methodically advance his position. When the checkered flag dropped, Havens had crossed the finish line in the 8th position claiming the PowerAde Move of the Race award given to the driver who improves the most positions based on their original starting position.
Havens also impressed his fellow competitors and NASCAR, who evaluate new drivers before being given the OK to be able to compete on bigger race tracks. Havens passed the test with flying colors.
